The Curbside Market is a market on wheels that links communities in the Rochester area to fresh, affordable food. Volunteers are expected to arrive to Foodlink on time to assist our Curbside Market Operators load the vehicles. Then the volunteer will ride along with our vehicle operators to multiple sites and offer customer service to the shoppers. Tasks at the site can include but are not limited, helping keep lines in an orderly fashion, assisting shoppers that can't get on the vehicle their produce from the order sheet, answering questions about pricing. Once back at Foodlink, volunteers will assist the Curbside Market Operator with unloading items off the truck. Volunteers are recommended to bring a water bottle and a snack if they like. Additionally, please dress for the weather as you will be outside.
This opportunity can accept only ONE volunteer per shift.
