The Foodlink Community Farm is a 1.6-acre urban agriculture campus located between the Edgerton and Lyell-Otis neighborhoods of northwest Rochester. The farm consists of a large community garden, a commercial growing operation, and a public pocket park and play area. Through the Foodlink Community Farm, Foodlink provides opportunities to build connections between the land, our programs, and our community. Volunteers are needed to maintain the farm.
Tasks will include beautification, irrigation, planting, deep cleaning, raking, gardening, and general farm tasks. Physical Intensity is considered HIGH. The project will include walking, standing, lifting( 25-50lbs), twisting, and bending.
Highly reccommended to wear boots due to the mud and soil.
Depending on weather conditions like an extremely hot day or rain, you can reach out to Frank Keophetlasy our Community Farm Manager. If you have any problems getting to the farm you can also call him at 585-208-1329
