Every year Foodlink sponsors the Amerks game during Hockey season. This game allows fans to purchase little Styrofoam stars to throw out onto the ice for a chance to win a cash prize. During the second period, the host will call out the winning star and the winner will receive half of the cash that was collected and the other half will be donated to Foodlink. Volunteers are needed to assist with the Amerks registration and help sale stars to customers at the game. They are also allowed to watch the game after the second period. Volunteer must be at least 13 years old. The physically Intensity of this project is considered low. Volunteer tasks will include walking, standing, and interacting with customers. Volunteers 13-15 must have a chaperone accompaniment. The chaperone should register for this volunteer shift separately.
