The Foodlink Community Kitchen prepares and delivers thousands of meals daily for students in the City of Rochester. Volunteer duties for this project include: preparing cold/hot meals, laying out meal trays, sealing trays, packing coolers, and cleaning. The physical intensity of this project is considered HIGH and will involve walking, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 20-50lbs continuously.
Volunteers are required to wear fully enclosed shoes with anti-slip that cover both the toes and the heels for all volunteer projects. Footwear: No sandals, slip-ons, Crocs, or flip-flops. Volunteers without proper footwear will not be permitted to participate in volunteering opportunities.
Volunteers should also not wear wearing torn/dirty clothing, have long/painted fingernails, fake lashes, and jewelry when participating in this project. Piercing/open or bleeding wounds must be covered. Must be at least 18 to volunteer.
